    Abstract

The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of the Ayurveda color program on attention deficit of children visiting kindergarten. In order to distinguish firstly the physical constitutions of infants and then investigate their hyperactivity and attention deficit or distraction, we examined infants with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) scale, conducting color breathing and color meditation, and then changing the color clothes, foods and environment according to their physical constitutions. During the sleeping time, we carried out sleeping experience in the room with blue light. And we also conducted the t-test of the matching sample with the pre- and post-test. The results showed that the pre-test of the infants' attention deficit was revealed as M =20.933, SD=2.491 and the post-test was as M = 17.200, SD = 2.007 and t = 9.427, P <0.000. The result of the infants' hyperactivity showed the difference (t = 12.43, P <0.001) between the pre-test (M = 21.400, SD = 1.638) and the post test (M = 17.667, SD = 1.759). This proves that the Ayurveda color program was effective in improving attention deficit in infants.
